The Board of Directors of Activision Blizzard took the expected step and approved the acquisition of Microsoft.who will pay $95 per share to publishers of Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo and other well-known brands. Microsoft’s board of directors also agreed with this.

But both companies have not yet won. The largest acquisition in the history of the video game industry $68.7 billion (approximately CZK 1.5 trillion) not yet approved competent authorities, in particular the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), as well as the shareholders of Activision Blizzard. But there are no problems for them.

“The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and the completion of regulatory oversight and shareholder approval by Activision Blizzard. The transaction, which is expected to close in Microsoft’s fiscal year ending June 30, 2023, has been approved by both Activision Blizzard and the Microsoft Board of Directors.” Activision Blizzard announced this in a press release.

it’s not even accurate yet what will happen to the current CEO of Activision Blizzard. Bobby Kotick has become a controversial boss, but his fate must be decided after the completion of this big deal.

Recall that after the acquisition, Microsoft intends to offer as many games from Activision Blizzard as possible within the Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, both new titles and old games.

We’ve heard from Microsoft before Activision Blizzard doesn’t end there.. These words confirm the search for three employees for the position Game strategy manager. Applicants must have experience in the investment or financial sector and will be responsible for acquisition planning.
