The alpha has barely ended, and Blizzard is already announcing the start of public beta testing.
World of Warcraft: Midnight is moving into beta faster than anyone expected. Blizzard announced that after just a month of alpha testing, it will launch a public beta on November 11th. However, the alpha didn’t start until early October, making it one of the fastest-developing additions in the game’s history.
However, the community reaction was mixed. While some players welcome the studio to finally speed up the pace of development and actively communicate with fans, others fear that such a short test will not be enough to identify all the problems. Criticism has largely focused on the new game systems, class adjustments, and balance changes, which some say are still a work in progress.
With this move, Blizzard obviously wants to show that it can be more flexible and respond more quickly to feedback. The question remains whether this will compromise the quality of the experience. Only the beta itself, which starts in a few days, will show whether it’s worth it.
