Expansions, remakes and remasters can win Game of the Year awards, The Game Awards reports – INDIAN

Prestigious prices Game rewards this year they can win remakes, remasters and additional expansions. Hosted by Geoff Keighley, the show aims to recognize the best creative and technical work, regardless of the format in which that content is released.

“Expansions, new game seasons, DLC, remakes and remasters are accepted in all categories if the jury deems new creative and technical works worthy of nomination,” read the explanation on the official website. Other factors such as the novelty of the content and its price/value will also be taken into account.

This means that awards and statuettes for the tenth annual The Game Awards are up for grabs. Elden Ring: Shadow of Airdtree. The original game was named Game of the Year 2022.

This year’s nominees will be announced on Monday November 18 at 18:00 our time. The category will include games released before November 22, 2024. The announcement with trailers and teasers for future games will take place early in the morning on December 13th.

The decision of the authors of The Game Award divided gamers. Some are happy that other developers will be able to compete for awards, others would prefer that remakes/remasters have their own category, as well as DLC.
