The developers promise greater ray tracing capabilities and other improvements.
Sony has been really trying its best to port PCs lately. It’s only been a few weeks since the release of the God of War Ragnarök conversion, and shortly after that, PC gamers saw the Until Dawn remake, which was released on PS5 at the same time. Sony has similar plans for the Horizon Zero Dawn remaster, which will be released at the end of October. Even after Horizon, you won’t have to wait too long for the next port.
The PlayStation Blog has announced the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, an action-adventure game that was released on PS5 just last October. The conversion will appear on Steam and Epic Games Store. January 30 next year.
As with previous games from Insomniac, the port was taken care of by the Dutch studio Nixxes. The developers promise to bring improved features to the PC compared to the console version, including advanced ray tracing capabilities. However, they have not yet been specified and we do not even know the hardware requirements, we will find out later.
Just like on PS5, Spider-Man 2 will be available in standard and deluxe editions, which will bring cosmetic extras and in-game bonuses. Even with the Standard Edition, you’ll get the full game with all the content from the console version, including New Game+ mode. However, the developers add that no additional story content is planned for the game.
