Less than a year and a half after the release of the second part of the adventures of Spider-Man, the game is coming to PC. It’s official: Spider-Man 2 for PC will be released on January 30, 2025. via Steam and Epic Games Store.
However, despite the relatively early release, information about the PC version is still a little more sketchy than you might expect. We know that the Nixxes studio has once again taken on the port, which more than reliably coped with the same task in the case of the first part, and subsequently the independent Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
From the official statement, we know that the developers are focusing on “a number of improved functions“, but in addition to indicating Improved ray tracing capabilities and support for ultra-wide monitors including keyboard and mouse, we don’t know what exactly it will be. Probably, as in previous parts, we can expect overall better visibility, anti-aliasing quality, image unblocking, upscaling technologies (DLSS, FSR) and the like. However, we will have to wait for official details.
And, unfortunately, this also applies to hardware requirementswhich we still don’t know either.
The game will be available in two editions – Standard and Deluxe.. For pre-ordering, players will receive an early unlock of the costume. Spider Knight for Peter and Shadow Spider for Miles, including a web attractor and three skill points.
The Deluxe Edition will offer 10 more exclusive costumes (five for each of the two heroes), additional photo mode items, and 5 skill points.
However, the pre-order option itself hasn’t launched yet, so we don’t even know the price. However, it is more than certain to expect full price.. And of course there is a warning that the game will claim the disputed PlayStation Network account for the game.
