“If we were business orientednow we’d be talking about Dead Cells 2. But we’re not talking about Dead Cells 2. We’re talking about Windblown because we’re a group of creative people who want to create something new.”
The team admits that fan pressure justified their fears, but they decided to go their own way. According to her, the external pressure is very strong; each of their posts has comments like: “Okay, when is Dead Cells 2 coming out?”
Instead the work continues about the new name with name by the windwhich Motion Twin says represents them true creative direction.
This is a bold choice, but at the same time very pleasant. Instead of a safe bet, thanks to a commercially very successful game, developers are given the freedom to create and innovate.
