What seemed unthinkable just a few years ago has become a reality. After Forza, Halo will be coming to PlayStation. Microsoft announced this during the Halo World Championship 2025 event. The remake will continue Unreal engine 5 and promises modern graphics, more detailed environments, remastered movies and more convenient controls. Halo Games is also adding something else – three completely new missions that expand the storyline before the main campaign.

The creators emphasize that the story will remain true to the original: After crashing on the mysterious Halo Ring, Master Chief and Cortana must face the enemy Ring and uncover a dark secret that could threaten the entire galaxy. What’s new, however, is the ability to play through the campaign with up to four players, both online and in split-screen. It goes without saying cross play and the ability to share position saves across platforms.

On the other hand, what will be missing is the PvP multiplayer mode.. Halo: Campaign Evolved focuses solely on story. However, each mission will be replayable with different difficulty modes, random enemies and weapons, so the fun doesn’t end there. The creators also redesigned some locations to support exploration, and completely re-recorded the entire soundtrack and voice acting for the main characters.

Halo: Campaign Evolved is gearing up for next year when Xbox celebrates Halo’s 25th anniversary. And it looks like this is just the beginning. “From now on, Halo will also be present on PlayStation,” said Halo Games Community Director Brian Jarrad. All signs point to new games coming to PS5, including a brand new one in development.
