Chernobyl closed zone. It will not only be large-scale, but also realistic. This is evidenced by the images comparing real locations with the game ones. We see the city of Pripyat destroyed by the explosion, the famous radar “Duga” and the port.
Interesting photos comparing the same place in STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl is published by the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World. This is captured in the first two images. Backwatera port on the Pripyat River, which, however, dried up in the game and turned into a radioactive swamp, where factions fighting for the treasures of the Zone began a war. Today it is a source of valuable raw materials and equipment scattered across rusting ships.
“Since the stalkers came, this place was the epicenter of the conflict between the neutrals and the bandits. In the end, the others won.” the developers said.
It follows from this Rainbowa top-secret military project that was supposed to provide early warning of possible airstrikes during the Cold War. It is a huge antenna complex, about 150 meters high, which is almost always visible in the western part of the Zone.
