Developers from the Chinese studio Leenzee have long been working on their own “game for the soul” called Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. The game was officially presented in 2021, when we immediately received footage from the gameplay. Even then the name was spoken of as clone of successful games from FromSoftware studio led by projects such as Dark Souls, Bloodborne or Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
At the recent Xbox Games Showcase, the developers presented a new trailer, which you can watch above. At the same time, a partnership was announced with Italian publisher 505 Games, which will help Wuchang: Fallen Feathers within the next year release on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. It has also been confirmed to be included with Xbox/PC Game Pass. Will the game join the series of lackluster “soul games” or will it succeed in the spirit of last year’s Lies of P event?
