If you liked survival strategy Frostpunk 2 and you’re craving another chilling adventure, it awaits. Polish studio 11 bit announced the first major expansion Shattered Utopiaswhich will be released on December 8th on PC and consoles.
The DLC expands Utopia Builder’s sandbox mode and introduces deeper political conflicts, new ideologies, and over a hundred story events that will show that even in an icy world, no utopia is perfect.
Shattered utopias deliver new faction system — everyone now has their own ideological utopia, which players can develop using the skill tree. Gaining trust unlocks unique laws, buildings, and abilities that highlight each group’s character. If all levels of development are completed, the player can realize a single vision of the future that will unite the city or divide it forever.
Conflicts between factions will be a key element of the gameplay.. The overseers rely on industrial order, and bohemia rebels with the help of art and drugs. Icebloods believe in strength and discipline, Technocrats – in the cold logic of algorithms. The Protheans alter human bodies as needed, the Legionnaires march in perfect unison, the Venturi capitalize on chaos, and the Manders stick together in a spirit of collectivism. Each of these visions carries its own benefits and risks, and only one can ultimately determine which humanity emerges from the winter wasteland.
The DLC also includes a new map based on two new stories:
Plague – A mysterious disease is spreading quickly. Act quickly and find a cure before your city turns into a frozen cemetery.
Prophets of Doom – A new reality is emerging that sows despair and declares that all hope is lost. They will undermine the morale of your city and force you to confront their growing influence.
Even before the release of the DLC, fans will be waiting for themselves Frostpunk 2 on consoles. The game will be released on November 18th on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, including in physical form in collaboration with Skybound Games. The DLC will also be available for console versions on the same day. By the way, the game is now available on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass in the PC version, and from November 18 it will be available in the Xbox Series X/S version.
