Electronic Arts made the decision to take effect immediately make it more expensive both tariffs of your subscription EA play. For existing subscribers, the new price will be effective from May 10 this year. Prices have already been updated for new subscribers.
EA attributes the price increase to sustainability to keep the service running and bring games and benefits to users.
How do prices change?
- EA Play Standard – 1 month for 5.99 euros (previously 4.99 euros)
- EA Play Standard – 12 months for 39.99 euros (previously 29.99 euros)
- EA Play Pro – 1 month for 16.99 euros (previously 14.99 euros)
- EA Play Pro – 12 months for 119.99 euros (previously 99.99 euros)
We’re also seeing new prices when paying via PlayStation and Xbox consoles. There it increased to CZK 169 per month of EA Play Standard membership. The question is how Microsoft will respond to the EA Play price increase. The latter included standard EA Play on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
EA isn’t the only company making subscriptions more expensive. Last summer, Microsoft announced price increases for its Xbox Game Pass (console version) and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate services. In the fall, Sony followed suit by raising the price of an annual PlayStation Plus subscription.
An EA Play membership offers monthly rewards, a collection of Electronic Arts games, trials of new EA games, and more. EA Play Pro for PC allows you to play all EA games in editions with additional content.
