The 8GB RTX 4060 Ti graphics card was released last month, with a 16GB version coming in July. However, the base model fell far behind, failing to prove itself in reviews at all, mostly due to minimal offset compared to its RTX 3060 Ti predecessor. The RTX 4060 was also supposed to come out in July, but in the end Nvidia decided to release the card a little earlier.
Today it was announced that the new model will arrive already June 29. The price tag is set to $299 (official Czech price 7,899 CZK), which is $30 less than the cost of the RTX 3060. It is worth noting that the predecessor had a considerable advantage in the form of 12 GB of video memory, the new one offers only 8 GB. Performance as such should certainly be better, according to Nvidia somewhere around 20%, but we’ll have to wait for independent tests. The big advantage will be low consumption, only 115 W compared to 170W for the RTX 3060.
The GeForce RTX 4060 will now be available for order starting June 29 at 6:00 AM PT.
