Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a love letter to RPG fans. It represents the best elements of the genre, offering its unique ideas and strengths. The result is simply fantastic and breathtaking.

Despite the technical challenges, Wo Long is a master of his craft that all future games in the genre should learn from.

If you start the game with the right mood, you’ll have an enjoyable adventure that doesn’t require napkins.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty stands out for its combat and dark fantasy setting. As much as I enjoyed Nioh 2, I’m glad Team Ninja has done something different here while still maintaining the challenge you’ve come to expect from games from this studio. However, we hope that the PC port will be improved after a few updates.

By the time I finished Nioh 2, I was more than ready to jump into New Game+ after a long campaign, but Wo Long, which takes up about half of the game’s time, had enough after the end credits. Aspects such as the state of the game’s PC port have certainly contributed to this – unfortunately, this is another game that seems to be suffering from the now terrible stuttering when compiling shaders.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a very enjoyable game similar to the From Software games, with a very fun combat system that is slightly overshadowed by difficulty peaks and lackluster music and sound effects.

Bounce-based fights are often great, and here Team Ninja has made some clever changes to keep Wo Long feeling fresh. The game has its quirks, but if you’re looking for a fast-paced RPG built around engaging combat, Wo Long is definitely the game for you.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is almost great. Unfair difficulty is its biggest flaw, but it’s something that can be fixed in an update. co Exploring the world is extremely fun, its controls and movement are smooth. However, many players won’t be able to try everything the new game has to offer due to overly strong bosses, especially in the early game.

Compared to the games in the Nioh series, Wo-Long is notably less in depth, but still has some interesting additions inspired by Sekiro. I’ve often enjoyed it, but the constant repetition and the terribly uneven difficulty curve certainly don’t help.
