Gaming site Wired accuses Hogwarts Legacy of anti-Semitism

For some time, part of the press has been critical of the Hogwarts Legacy. But not because of the technical side or the gameplay itself. According to them, these are not the main stumbling blocks. The main theme of the series is JK Rowling and her views on the transgender community. Gaming magazine Wired went so far as to directly criticize the game in their review. Its editor, Jaina Gray, dislikes almost everything contained in the title, which is said to have helped her leave a universe full of charm and magic. What doesn’t she like? According to her, the characters are robotic, everything deviates from the book template and, above all, seems dated. She gave the game a 1/10 rating.

The imaginary icing on the cake is the portrayal of the Hogwarts Legacy story as something blatantly riddled with anti-Semitism, which is complete bullshit given the foundations on which this universe is built. At the very least, we don’t like the idea of presenting the plot as an anti-slavery uprising, the lyricist just wanted to make herself visible and support her “controversial” opinion. By the way, her previous reviews were mostly not about video games, but about sex toys.

The creation of the editor of Wired magazine is the only such scathing review. However, it cannot be said that the whole world perceived the Hogwarts Legacy positively. As Metacritic shows, for example, there were a few other creators who didn’t like the game at all, but most of them didn’t actively show their hatred of the magical universe and its creator in their lyrics. As you can see in our review, in our opinion, this was the desire of the fans of the template.
