The FFXIV The Rising 2022 event has arrived to celebrate the ninth anniversary of the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV with a seasonal festival. Players will have two weeks to participate in the event where they can earn the special Clockwork Solus minion, in which a rather intimidating miniature replica of fan-favorite character Emeth-Selch follows them.
For those of you unfamiliar with the history of Shadowbringers, an expansion often cited as the highlight of Final Fantasy XIV to date and even cited by many as one of the greatest periods in RPG history, trust us when we say that Emet-Selch’s reputation as one of the most compelling characters deserves. Fans will be delighted to have a small replica of him accompany them through the world of Eorzea with his legendary two-tone hair.
The Final Fantasy XIV The Rising 2022 event marks the ninth anniversary of A Realm Reborn’s release on August 27, 2013 after the game was shut down and redesigned following an overwhelmingly negative reception of its original 2010 release. Say the reboot was a huge success, with its revised mechanics and many additions that followed Square Enix’s fantastic title, it was critically and commercially acclaimed as one of the best single-player MMO games and one of the best multiplayer games. . .
A recent report showed that despite a 15.5% year-over-year drop in Square Enix’s net sales, its MMO sales increased thanks to continued growth in the number of active Final Fantasy XIV subscribers. So of course a reason to celebrate. If you want to join the celebration, you will have two weeks from August 27 to September 12 to participate and win the Clockwork Solus minion.

The Rising 2022 event can be started with the quest “A New Journey” for the wandering minstrel in Ul-dah – Nald’s Passes (x: 10.1, y: 8.4).. To participate, players must be level 15 and receive the Clockwork Solus minion at the end of the event. Some of the items available in previous iterations of the event can be purchased from the pop-up vendor, though these will likely be limited to party consumables and the like.
