The latest Genshin Impact leak points to a quality of life fix that many players have been asking for in the sprawling RPG for a long time. Does anyone in your group have a talent for alternate sprinting? Are you often stuck on random stairs or rocks that barely change the height of flat surfaces? Well, be happy, because apparently it won’t happen again. Famous member of Genshin Impact, sagiriI just shared some videos on Twitter showing the upcoming fixes for Sprint alternate characters.
Questionable Twitter Clips shows Kamisato Ayaka using her alternate sprint and Sayu using her Fuuin Dash to move back and forth over the roughest terrain imaginable in a way that is currently impossible for these characters. As a player using Ayaka as the main fighter, she is a beautiful sight to behold.
In short videos, we see Ayaka’s snowflake running across the tables in the center of the main city of Mondstadt, and Sayu rolling off the top of the main fountain in the same area using her elemental ability.
Alternative speedsters have been fighting for so long that these clips don’t even look real. Luckily, it looks like the days of wasting energy from getting stuck on small obstacles are coming to an end.
For those understandably skeptical, a separate Reddit post leaked by user Sweet-Promotion-974 appears to confirm the change. Sayu, Ayaka, and Yolan take center stage in this video as the three of them walk back and forth on a small ledge in Inazuma. Like Sayu, Yelan does not have an alternate sprint, but she does have a unique movement-based elemental ability.
The only character missing from these showcases is Mona, but we have to assume that her alternate sprint will work exactly the same as Ayaka’s, as they are very similar.
So far HoYoverse has only added characters that can use special sprints for Cryo and Hydro, but that could change when we head to Sumeru for the 3.0 update in late August.
