Company Ubisoft presented another batch of old games that will lose support for their online featuresto be more precise September 1 this year.

Among the selected games we will find projects of the era PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360for example, a few old games in the Assassin’s Creed series, Far Cry 3 action or Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, and a Rayman Legends jumper.

The complete list looks like this:

  • Anno 2070 for PC
  • Assassin’s Creed 2 for PC, PS3
  • Assassin’s Creed 3 for PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U
  • Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood for PC, PS3, Xbox 360
  • Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD for PC
  • Assassin’s Creed Revelations for PS3, Xbox 360
  • Driver: San Francisco for PC, PS3, Xbox 360
  • Far Cry 3 for PC, PS3, Xbox 360
  • Ghost Recon: Future Soldier for PS3, Xbox 360
  • Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands for PC
  • Rayman Legends for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U
  • Silent Hunter 5 for PC
  • Space Junkies for PC (HTC Vive, Oculus) – The game only offers a multiplayer mode, so it’s almost impossible to play it.
  • Splinter Cell: Blacklist for PC, PS3, Xbox 360
  • Zombies for Wii U

The loss of online functionality in most cases means that the multiplayer mode will no longer be available, or you will not be able to link your Ubisoft account to the game. However, the PC version of Far Cry 3, Driver San Francisco, Assassin’s Creed III and in some other cases also states that the DLC will be disabled from installation and access, which I find rather unfortunate.

However, it’s definitely worth noting that the original versions of Assassin’s Creed III and Far Cry 3 will be affected, not later releases or remasters.

But so that there was little news about this company, it announced its own as part of the traditional Green Game Jam. intention to spread awareness about climate changeand this as part of special in-game events.

Games that will see such an event include, for example, Ryders Republicin which we will put out fires at the beginning of 2023, completing various tasks, for which we will, of course, receive some kind of reward.

Then a similar event will appear in the yet to be released naval Skull and Boneswhen the latter focuses on the issue of fishing, that is, shows us what can happen when the demand for shark fins leads to overhunting of sharks.
