Deus Ex Writer Joins BioWare

Experienced Developer Mary DeMarl posted on her LinkedIn profile that she was joining Biovarrespectively electronic arts. The screenwriter has spent almost fifteen years at Eidos Montréal and is behind modern Deus Ex titles or Marvel’s relatively recent Guardians of the Galaxy.

In addition to the aforementioned games, DeMarle also worked on Homeworld 2 at Relic Entertainment and on the third and fourth installments of the Myst series at Ubisoft, where she worked from 2001 to 2007.

Unfortunately, we do not know which project he will join at Bioware. But, probably, it will be a continuation of one of the famous series in the form of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf or the upcoming Mass Effect.

The screenwriter’s departure from Eidos Montréal comes shortly after the change in ownership of the studio, when it moved – along with two other teams and brands such as Tomb Raider or Deus Ex – from Japanese Square Enix to European Ebracer.
