It’s time to start another week of exciting high-speed racing with Games Done Quick. Summer Games Done Quick kicks off June 26 and will run for the entire next week on the GDQ Twitch channel. This year’s festival features several new additions to the speedrun lineup, including Elden Ring and Monster Hunter: Rise, and kicks off with a somewhat special (but action-packed) slice of the PlayStation classic.
This year’s SGDQ begins with Rubyheart performing a normal timed attack with a random Shadow of the Colossus boss. This run skips all the detours and cutscenes of the open world game and goes straight for the jugular vein: 16 random colossus fights. This should take around 47 minutes.
There are great races to follow every day of the week. On June 27, look for Brossentia, NPCs, FlannelKat, and Peace Egg to go through all the small Phasmophobia maps. On June 28, Yakuza: Like A Dragon will run on PC at any %, and it’ll last around four hours and 25 minutes, perfect if you need something else to dive into.
SGDQ will be raising funds for the international humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders and 100% of all donations raised at the event will go directly to the organization.
You can connect to the GDQ Twitch channel.
The full SGDQ 2022 schedule is available on the official website. The event will culminate on July 3 with a 33-minute performance by Hyp3rsomniac from Elden Ring, which we sure don’t want to miss.
