RIP that short-lived cheese from the Destiny 2 Legendary Shard

TO Destiny 2 Legendary Cheese Burst that allows you to dismantle pieces of Guardian Games 2022 gear in exchange for what amounts to more performance than you paid for, was quickly disabled by Bungie, depriving Destiny 2 players of the ability to get legendary shards and endless sparkles in Bungie’s Space FPS. a game.

Legendary Shards are a major form of currency in Destiny 2 and are required for all sorts of in-game activities like focusing engrams and upgrading armor. While players can get these random loot shards, hardcore grinders or those who prefer to stockpile weapons may not always have the extra in their inventories.

Cheese, which wasn’t technically a feat, but used in-game mechanics to seemingly give more bang for your buck than Bungie could count, only worked if players had Guardian Games 2022 gear.

Players could go to their collections and then to the armor tab where they could select an option for events. They could then scroll down to find a class item with the word “Medal” for any class in Destiny 2, meaning they got it in the 2022 Guardian Games. For 777 Glimmer, they could get a copy of this armor. This number represents Bungie’s ongoing so-called “obsession” with the number seven, as it appears multiple times in many of their games and documentation, and even represents Bungie Day, which falls on July 7 of each year.

Because they could dismantle each piece into four legendary shards and 250 sparkles, for a short time it was possible to assemble and disassemble as many as they wanted as long as they had the glow. While you won’t run out of Flicker, purchasing 10,000 Rahul’s Flicker only costs 10 Legendary Shards from the Tower Merchant, giving players an infinite supply of Flicker and Legendary Shards.

Scrapping for parts also granted players the in-game Gunsmith rank, allowing them to earn even more weapons that could be split into Flicker and Legendary Shards.

Unfortunately, when word of the cheese started to spread, Bungie was quick to catch on and disabled the ability to purchase the items needed to use the cheese.

“Due to an issue, we have disabled the ability to re-acquire Guardian Games 2022 class items from Collections,” the official Bungie Help account wrote on Twitter hours after players revealed the exploit.

RIP this short-lived Destiny 2 Legendary Cheese Chip – A tweet from Bungie stating that the company has disabled the ability to drop the item in question due to cheese.

At least a few people have been able to stock up on Shards and Glimmer, and with Destiny 2 Season 21 just around the corner, we hope you’ll live large and use that money to get the best multiplayer weapons and armor available.
