While the Clock Tower horror series may not be as well-known as Resident Evil or Silent Hill, it has definitely left a big mark, followed by a number of games. One of them was the name Remothered, the birth of which was very difficult. Young Italian developer Chris Darryl announced it in 2007 as the spiritual successor to Clock Tower. But the development was delayed and the game was constantly changing its appearance. After three 2D iterations, the project has completely changed to become the much more ambitious Remothered: Tormented Fathers, which finally came out in 2017 to fairly positive reviews. However, the sequel, which came out three years later with the subtitle “Broken Porcelain”, did not have such a success and suffered mainly due to poor technical condition. Although a third part was also planned, most likely we will never see it.

After the duet, Chris Darryl moved on to another project, and this one is now announced, it was reported, for example, by Gematsu magazine. The game is called Bye Sweet Carole and is meant to be a horror adventure game inspired by the old animated films it uses aesthetics. In the game, you take on the role of Lana Benton, who is investigating the mysterious disappearance of Carol Simmons. Apart from this very brief description, there are only three images for now, which you can view above. The game is being developed by Little Sewing Machine, a studio founded by Darryl and published by Just For Games.

Bye Sweet Carole will be released next year. It will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
