As you may recall, a few weeks ago Embracer Group announced the acquisition of Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal and their IPs, but the Just Cause franchise remained owned by the Japanese publisher.
“We want to focus on creating new topics that support our strategy, including projects related to new intellectual property,” the document says. “The Just Cause series will remain a new intellectual property and we are working on a new chapter in the series.”
Awaiting Just Cause: Mobile, out this year, its comeback Rico Rodriguez and the mechanics that have always characterized Just Cause, so it’s absolute freedom and a true open world playground where you can indulge.
Of course, as we wrote in our Just Cause 4 review, the brand will need a little extra thickness to stand out.
