Xayah Guild

The golden goose can finally be cooked. Xayah had an almost uncontrolled dominance from the start of the 7th set. Patch 12.14 gives Xayah some of her biggest nerfs to her AD and magic damage. Additionally, Talon’s Guild bonus damage has been halved, which should significantly reduce damage for Guild Xayah team as a whole. Still, Xayah has had tantrums in the past and she’s still fine, so only time will tell how bad her nerves are for her.

Varus and Ilaoi

The AD changes should limit Varus’ dominance as he can hit three stars per match and deal almost uncontrolled damage. Varus’ nerfs are added to the nerf given to his most powerful item, the Deathblade, as his star level drops. If Varus and Ylaoi are still in the meta this patch, it will be entirely due to the power of the Astrals, and not just these two units.

Nidalee Rerol

Nidal, another Astral Champion where you can almost always take three stars and then destroy enemy teams, is getting a much-needed AD nerf in this patch. Like Varus, he was severely injured by Deathblade nerfs, but pre-AD nerfs all over the board can enjoy his longevity with the Shapeshifter. The Shapeshifter comp may still be meta for this patch, but the port may shift to Elise, as AP champions will likely see shadow buffs as a result of AD nerfs.
