The mod in question was made by KangieDanie and it allows a second player to join our game by pressing the F9 key on the keyboard while in the main menu of Stray. You can see it in action in the video below.
Remember this is a mod still under development. So not everything is working perfectly yet and some issues may arise. For example, only the main player can see the HUD, while the other will have to play without it. Additionally, visual glitches may occur and one of two users may get stuck while switching from one area to another, but fortunately in the latter case, go back to the main menu and reinstall the game to fix the problem.
The author states that the work is theoretically possible. multiple players however, not doing enough testing does not ensure the stability of the game.
