Fortnite has raised $144 million in in-game purchases for humanitarian aid in Ukraine, Epic Games announced on Monday. The funds will be donated to Direct Relief, UNICEF, the United Nations World Food Programme, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and World Central Kitchen.
On March 20, Epic Games announced that it would partner with Xbox and provide all Fortnite proceeds to humanitarian organizations in Ukraine by April 3. The exact distribution of the funds is still unknown, but the money has already been sent – Epic. Games distributed money as they went, sending money until each transaction was fully processed.

Fundraising efforts began in tandem with the start of Fortnite Season 3.2, where Epic Games temporarily removed the building from the game and added the usual new features that come with the new season. This will likely increase fundraising significantly as players return to the game to try out new additions.
