A new rifle, the Prime Rifle, has arrived in Fortnite and deals damage in a whole new way.
Prime Shotgun has arrived with the latest Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 3 update and version v21.30. According to the patch notes released yesterday by the Fortnite team, “New Prime Shotgun, deal[s] Maximum damage with the first shot of the clip – no need to warm up!

The fact that the Prime Gun is most powerful when fully charged clearly increases the value of the first shot in a firefight. Plus, it really increases the value of reloading between enemies.
The other three bullets are pretty solid shots, as Sypher demonstrates in the video above. He even goes so far as to say that the Prime Shotgun could be the “GOAT shotgun” available in Fortnite Battle Royale. The same can be true for more enthusiastic players, although their aims aren’t as good as Sypher’s.
According to Epic’s patch notes, the Prime Shotgun can be found anywhere you can find any other weapon, including “on the ground, in chests, supply drops, young reality trees, the fishing and sharks”.
