Mad Maggie first appeared in Season 12 of Apex Legends on February 8, 2022 and fell victim to numerous bugs and glitches before catching the attention of aggressive players looking for a fun new boss. Respawn has since worked to fix the legend and added some fans to make it a more popular choice in Battle Royale.
But a new bug discovered by Apex players seems to be making him nervous again, this time affecting his Riot Drill.

You can see the flaw in the following post posted on Reddit by user Sweatyeagle8497. This causes Maggie to not deal any damage to Newcastle’s shield as if you were wasting skills.
As the clip plays, you can see Riot Drill attached to the shield for a few seconds, but it won’t explode as usual. Instead, it disappears and the bill returns so you can try again. Blame would be even worse if blame didn’t come right back, but it’s still hard to deal with if you’re Maggie’s mad boss.
Customers also reported contacting EA Support regarding this issue, but have yet to receive a response from them or Respawn. Since the bug is simply an interaction caused by a bug, it can probably be fixed quickly via Fix. Here we hope the developers will see the issue and fix it soon.
