Last year, the developers brilliantly gave it a modern look. Silent Hill 2but that’s something else. They stuck to the old basics in the remake, but here is the original title. The good news is that this is not a problem. Cronos: The New Dawn is an excellent dark action game that focuses more on combat and resource management, but does not forget about a strong story.. It combines the best of Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Dead Space, while touching on themes that resonate with us all – reminiscent of historical horrors and pandemic horrors that are still fresh in our minds.
Cronos: The New Dawn is a third-person action horror game that takes inspiration from the classics of the genre, but also brings its own ideas and style to the table. At first glance, it impresses with its unusual setting, combining earthly horror with a strong sci-fi atmosphere.
The story takes us to the 1980s, to the Nowa Huta district of Krakow.. Places that were supposed to symbolize the socialist dream of a “new steel mill” in the center of Europe. But in this alternate history, we see the world destroyed decades after a pandemic known as “The Change.” The land has been reduced to ruins and mutated creatures called orphans roam it. Poland fell in this world before the Iron Curtain fell.
In the dark world of Cronos: The New Dawn there is also mysterious team – an organization that plays with survivors like puppets. It changes their consciousness in time, manipulates their past and present and does not recognize any human rights.
In the midst of this chaos, the player takes on the role of the Traveler.. Yes, she is the one who travels through time and extracts the consciousness of key characters. Her mission is to uncover the origins of the Changeling and see if there is still a way to reverse it. But at what cost? After all, the Travelers have gloves with metal spikes that dig into people’s skulls. At the same time, they are a positive character…
