Leaked Material Reveals What Canceled Just Cause Contraband Album Should Have Looked Like – INDIA

The co-op smuggling action game has been cancelled. Smuggling from Avalanche Studioswhich was originally revealed at E3 2021 is once again turning heads. Leaked development footage has hit the internet, showing for the first time what this ambitious Xbox exclusive was actually supposed to look like.

Images from the portfolios of artists who worked on the user interface have appeared on the Internet. According to the MP1st website, they can be recognized characteristic aesthetics of the 70s – a mixture of retro colors, neon and a cinematic feel typical of historical crime films. As such, Avalanche was clearly going for a visually different and slightly ironic style. like in the TV series Just Cause.

According to the description from the original trailer, Contraband was supposed to be a four-player co-op game focused on planning and executing heists in a huge world. From the leaked images, it appears that the game featured a recruiting mode in which players chose partners for missions based on their statistics – success or experience.

Then another slide shows a map. City center locationThe neon-lit city at night is the perfect setting for film-themed events.

Despite the fact that Contraband was announced back in 2021, little is officially known about it. Microsoft and Avalanche never showed any gameplay. A few months ago, information appeared that the project had lost financial support, which practically meant its end.

Contraband is another project that has paid for the wave of cuts and layoffs that have hit dozens of studios in recent years. Gone with it were other ambitious Xbox titles, like Perfect Dark, Rare’s Everwild, or John Romero’s unannounced shooter. This may appear in the future if the Doom authors find a new publisher.
