Finnish studio Remedies failed to ride the wave of live-service games. Shooting results FBK: Fiery Breakthrough they are truly unsatisfactory and from a financial point of view the company is going through one of the most difficult periods in recent years.
According to the financial report for the third quarter of 2025 (July-September), Remedy sales reached only 12.2 million euros, and operating profit (EBIT) fell to -16.4 million euros.
FBC: Firebreak just didn’t live up to expectations. At the same time, the studio had to write off a non-cash loss of 14.9 million euros associated with this project.
Moreover, the unsatisfactory results were the last straw for Tera Virtualwho left the post of CEO after nine years. According to an internal report, the company remains financially stable with positive operating cash flow of €11.3 million, but future titles will have to hold on now more than ever.
Fortunately Development of major projects continues as planned. Control 2 is on track as of August 2025, and the studio has confirmed that it will be an RPG. The first part is described as an action-adventure game, so we can expect changes. Remake of Max Payne 1 and 2 is in “full development” in collaboration with Rockstar Games, although there is no specific release date.

It’s possible that this project will get a boost as Remedy takes some of the team away from FBC: Firebreak and moves people to other games in development. They were not specified. While the developers claim that they will continue to “follow the planned plan”, it seems that after a major update planned for March 2026, support for FBC: Firebreak will gradually fade away.
