Digital business GOG continues its mission to preserve gaming history and expands Conservation program for another 16 titles. Legendary games such as Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, Hitman: Codename 47 or Tomb Raider GOTY, and what’s more, they’re all currently discounted as part of our ongoing fall specials.

The goal of the program is to preserve old games that might otherwise fall into oblivion and offer them in a modernized form without anti-piracy protection. GOG is not only trying to keep these games accessible for future generations, but also technically adapted for modern equipment. For example, the first Splinter Cell now supports 16:9 widescreen resolution, higher frame rates and anti-aliasing.

Here is a list of the latest games included in the Preservation Program:

  • Battle Chess 4000
  • Bladwich
  • Call of Cthulhu: Prisoner of Ice
  • The Immortality of Clive Barker
