Resident Evil, however, an extremely successful game brand, still could not break on the screen. At least not like fans of the series could imagine.
For some time we knew that the last attempt would be a reboot from the director Zakha Cregger, who was horrified by Barbara since 2022, and in August his new weapon of the film would go to cinemas. And in an interview for SFX magazine, Cregger himself told some information about the upcoming film, Gamesradar reports.
Cregger says he is a big fan of the whole series: “I played them all. I don’t even know how many times I passed Re4 again and again. I like it”. Nevertheless, he adds that the image itself will not adhere to the LOR set at all costs.
“I am trying to tell a story that will become genuine experience, for example, when you play these games. I do not think that I violate some important rules, but at the same time I know that everything I do, people in the online space will come for me, ” – Says Cragg. “I just want to make a good movie and tell a convincing story. I know that I will be pleased with this film and other people, perhaps too. ”
The new film, according to Resident Evil, which officially did not name and does not know the names of the actors, will arrive in the cinemas on September 18, 2026.
