GOG will invest its own resources in preserving PC games – INDIA

Trade GOGwhich began as a dedicated platform for older games, has decided to devote its resources to preserving PC games. The company, owned by the Polish CD Projekt (creators of The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077), presented Conservation program. Thanks to it, he wants to keep games compatible with current and future computers.

“Time erases the games that shaped you. Forgotten, incompatible, unplayable.” explains GOG and recalls information from the Video Game History Foundation. She stated that 87% of games created before 2010 are not available today.

“We will start by re-releasing 100 classic games from our catalog in updated, enhanced or quality control versions. Here you will find such masterpieces as Heroes of Might and Magic 3, resident Evil And Diablo + Hellfire. And all this without anti-piracy protection and with special support.” GOG presents its new program.
