Devil Players Path of Exile 2 they must be patient. Studio Grinding games announced another delay. Initially, the free game was supposed to be released in early access on November 15 this year. This date was announced as August 20th.
Today the situation is different. Head of Development Jonathan Rogers explains this in a video The game itself or its content are not responsible for the delay. Developers need more time to fine-tune the infrastructure. They want to ensure that both games are connected and that players don’t lose previously purchased items.
“One of the key promises was that everything microtransactions they will work in both Path of Exile I and II. To achieve this, we had to integrate account systems not only for one and two, but also for consoles. This meant changing many things. Not only did we have to create several new systems, but we also had to make the old data backwards compatible with them.” Rogers explains.
“And when you start migrating such old databases with so much data, you will find that strange demons. How is it possible that multiple accounts have the same name? How can multiple accounts have the same email address? How can multiple accounts have the same Steam ID? Why is this person’s account name just random gibberish that can’t even be deciphered?”
“Everything needs to be improved, so that no one loses what they paid forand no one had a damaged account. At the same time, since we change all this internal codewe need to do a lot of stress testing to make sure everything doesn’t fall apart due to the huge number of players we expect at launch.” – adds the development manager, taking responsibility for the delay.
Fortunately, the delay is not that long. Path of Exile 2 will be available from December 6 this year on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A video introducing the Early Access content and revealing the ending of the game should be released in about four weeks.
