More than 20 years later, the British studio returns from the grave Digital Image Design (abbreviated as DID). It became famous in 2001 as a first-class and very realistic flight simulator. Eurofighter Typhoon. Before that, these were the games F-22 Total Air War, F-22: Air Dominance Fighter, TFX or F29 Retaliator.
DID’s flight simulators were so well developed that the studio worked with air forces around the world. The British armed forces (Royal Air Force and British Airways) even used DID simulators to train real pilots.
Individual games were mostly published by Ocean Software, which bought DID in 1998. A year later, it was itself bought by Infogrames. This led to the departure of key employees who founded Evolution of the Studio (WRC, MotorStorm, DriveClub).
Now, many years later, a Digital Image Design profile has appeared on social media with a new DID logo and a promise that we will learn something this year. One possibility is a remaster/remake of one of the flight simulators. Although, in 1993, DID also created the shooter RoboCop 3. The new studio already has a website and a YouTube channel.
But the question is whether he is behind the return Martin Kenwrightwhich DID founded, as well as Evolution Studios. He most recently led vTime Limited when it raised $7.6 million in 2018 and wanted to focus on social augmented reality experiences.
Stay tuned for updates this year. pic.twitter.com/fw3iAfuhwK
