Developers Obsidian Entertainment recently postponed the release of the upcoming fantasy RPG Avowed from this fall to February next year. The main reason was not technical difficulties, but a busy fall season with other major titles. Now, representatives of the studio in one of the interviews said that in the case of the version for the Xbox Series X console I’m aiming for 30 FPS.

They said they had this goal in mind at least early in development. One of the developers went on to say that this is a single-player first-person game, so no need for 60 FPS game mode. So unless the developers change their minds on this before release, the game will indeed only run on consoles at 30 FPS.

Check out IGN’s newly released gameplay footage below. will be released on February 18th on PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X/S.
