In May of this year, Microsoft management announced closure of four gaming studios. In particular, these were the teams of Arkane Austin, Alpha Dog Games, Roundhouse Studios and Tango Gameworks. But it was the last one that finally found a new owner.

Specially Japanese studio Tango Gameworks was bought out by the South Korean company Krafton.which has celebrated its greatest success to date with the battle royale event PUBG: Battlegrounds. In addition to the team responsible for PUBG, it also owns studios such as Striking Distance (The Callisto Protocol), Unknown Worlds Entertainment (Subnautica) or Neon Giant (The Ascent).

In addition to the acquisition itself, Krafton management said that bought the rights to the Hi-Fi Rush brand. It launched last January with a game of the same name that received positive feedback and several major awards. It is with this brand that Crafton believes Tango Gameworks should connect its immediate future.
