Sony Pictures revealed several of its upcoming projects at CineEurope 2024. Among them were two upcoming films based on the famous game series. Firstly, this is official confirmation. Uncharted 2 preparation, which will follow the film from 2022. The latter, despite not very high ratings from critics, was a significant financial success, collecting $139 million and paving the way for the second part. Additional information has not yet been disclosed. In any case, the central pair of leads played by Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg should return.
The second “game” project – upcoming movie “The Legend of Zelda”, on which Sony Pictures is collaborating with Nintendo and the father of the series himself, Shigeru Miyamoto. However, we’ll probably have to wait a few more years for the finished film. Even before the release of the Zelda film, a sequel to the successful film Super Mario Bros. should appear in theaters.
