Acer wowed Computex 2024 attendees with its focus on artificial intelligence. The main attraction is the Acer Swift 14 AI laptop with Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus chips, which offers local AI features, a top-notch display and powerful hardware.
At Acer’s large booth at Computex 2024, the letters AI reigned supreme. The Acer Swift 14 AI laptop that has attracted the most attention is that it uses a new platform from Qualcomm with Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus chips, unlocking local AI functions thanks to the built-in NPU unit.
Judging by the equipment and presentation, we can conclude that this will be Acer’s flagship model in the field of portable laptops. The Swift 14 AI offers a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 1440p camera, up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and a 1TB SSD. Sales will begin in July at prices starting from 1,499 euros.
Acer unveiled two new Aspire C all-in-one models at Computex 2024. The Aspire C24 and Aspire C27 feature sleek designs, high-quality Full HD IPS panels and tilting displays. Equipped with Intel Core Ultra processors and Intel AI Boost technology with Intel graphics. These models have up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 2TB of M.2 PCIe SSD storage.
Both computers are designed for office use and include features like Copilot and AI noise cancellation for clearer communication during online calls. Includes a sleek Acer Elite 19 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Set. The Aspire C24 and C27 will be available in retail stores starting July 2024.
Even Acer’s gaming brand Predator has not escaped the influence of artificial intelligence, as evidenced by the new Predator Helios Neo 14 and Predator Triton Neo 16. The king of the show was the Predator Helios 18 with an Intel Core i9 processor, GeForce RTX 4090 and a fast processor. 250Hz display with Mini-LED technology. This model has a WQXGA resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels) with an aspect ratio of 16:10.
For gamers who prefer a laptop keyboard, there’s a replacement gaming pad that includes three sets of WASD keys. The first set is mechanical keys, the second has a metal design, and the third is traditional. The Predator Helios Neo 14 and Acer Nitro 16 will go on sale in June, starting at €1,999 and €1,599 respectively.
Most of the gaming section is occupied by the Predator Z57, whose widescreen 57-inch diagonal is impressive, although it won’t fit on every table. We also saw live the new Predator X34 X5 OLED monitor with a frequency of 240 Hz, which is the dream of every gamer. The colors are stunning and the 240Hz frequency makes it ideal for demanding games.
The 31.5-inch Predator X34 X5 and smaller Predator X32 X3 models support NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, which eliminates stuttering and flickering. The displays provide 10-bit color depth, high-quality contrast and 99% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The Predator X34 X5 starts at €1,399 and will go on sale in the Czech Republic at the end of 2024.
