Developers from the Brno studio Madfinger Games are today in the early access program on Steam released tactical action game Gray Zone Warfare, whose release date was just announced yesterday. The basic version of the game is available for 35 euros. However, more expensive versions are also available at 58, 80 and 100 euros. The authors offer an intense tactical first-person shooter that emphasizes realism and a combination of PvE and PvP modes. Also noteworthy is the large open world, which takes players to the Southeast Asian-inspired island of La Mang.
Existing however, adoption is highly controversial, as evidenced by its current rating of 38% on Steam. Players appreciate the approach to realism and individual game mechanics that may remind Gray Zone Warfare of the famous Escape from Tarkov game or the Arma series. Loud criticism is aimed at optimization and technical problems caused by dropped frame rates and high hardware requirements.
Unfortunately, there’s nothing special about the recently released Early Access game. However, it is clear that developers still have a lot of work to do in this direction. Although this current priority of PC versiontherefore, the authors do not rule out releases on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles in the future.
