Game Developers Conference Access to the game will again visit the premises of the Brno Exhibition Center on May 31 and June 1. Now in its seventh year, the event plans to attract more than 2,000 visitors and 350 participating companies. The organizers prepared for them a rich selection of lectures, samples of released and unreleased games, networking opportunities and job offers in famous studios.

Two days of the conference will complement it two game music concerts. A selection of the best Czech game soundtracks will be performed on Saturday, June 1, at the Brno Philharmonic. Visitors to the Czech Games Live Orchestra will hear music from the legendary Mafia series, the recent real-time strategy hit Last Train Home, the surreal horror adventure Someday You’ll Return and the Arma series of military simulations. All this in a magnificent orchestral performance, complemented by video projections of scenes from the games in question.

On Sunday, June 2, Brno will again be visited by the Polish band Percival Schuttenbach, who took part in creating the soundtrack to the highly successful game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Their performance, called Wild Hunt Live, is based on this repertoire. Using traditional instruments, powerful vocals and dance numbers, Percival will bring an unforgettable experience to all fans of The Witcher and lovers of Slavic folk music.

As usual, the conference itself attracts not only professional developers from home and abroad, but also newcomers, students, artists, publishers and all other people interested in the gaming industry. For the most ambitious, Game Access offers a section Showcase of India, where up to 100 independent teams will present their projects and collect feedback from their colleagues. The best of them will be selected by the developer community based on the results of the conference as part of the Indie Awards.

As usual at this conference, really important personalities from the gaming industry will gather in Brno. For example, it will appear in Game Access ’24. Warren Spector, director, producer and designer behind the development of legendary games such as System Shock, Deus Ex or several games from the Ultima series. You can also look forward to the lecture Harry Krueger, creative director with over 15 years of experience at Finnish studio Housemarque, known for games such as Returnal and Nex Machina. We must not miss Jill Murray, which has created stories for games such as Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and recently helped adapt the successful comic book and animated series Invincible into a game. And lovers of a good soundtrack will definitely appreciate it. Petri Alankoauthor of music for such hits as Alan Wake 1 and 2, Control and Quantum Break.

These and more 80 more outstanding speakers will welcome Game Access visitors across an area of ​​over 12,000 m2 in Pavilion P. Together with live music, a varied program and a wonderfully intimate atmosphere, the exhibition center experience will culminate with the main party of the conference. The next two network parties, as usual, will take visitors to interesting corners of Brno. This year it will be Cabaret Des Péchés and Club Fléda.

Of course, the event will be attended by partners from game studios and technology companies, who will present their projects, recruit employees, and together build a community of developers. These include, but are not limited to, Keen Software House, Hangar 13 and Alda Games. Game Access ’24 is held under the auspices of the city of Brno and with the support of the South Moravian Region.

To support the education of young developers, Game Access offers competitive student passes and opportunities for closer collaboration for schools. Masaryk University, the Secondary School of Artistic Management or the West Bohemian University in Pilsen will provide information about educational opportunities and present projects of their students.
