Mikulas Podprotsky and his brother Tomasz are preparing an interesting action-adventure game and role-playing game called Scribe. It combines retro platforming and point and click adventures with beautiful graphics and intense gameplay.
We’ll play as a scribe who escapes an island monastery and embarks on a journey to rediscover the true history of the continent. Intellectuals, scholars, monks and scribes are locked in the monastery so that they cannot preserve history. The ruling power is gradually destroying it (rewriting history and repainting art), and any study or even preservation of pieces of real history is considered treason to the emperor and is punishable by death. Our scribe is a criminal in the eyes of the powers that be, and must be careful in every interaction and act with caution. Eyes and ears lie in wait at every step.

They want to take the pixel art aesthetic to the extreme and offer a charming yet dangerous open world with action, a rich story, interesting quests, crafting and a variety of weapons including cutlass, bows and magic. In battle, you can use stealth, for example, hide in a barrel and move around in it when the guards turn.

Mikulas Podprocki recently signed a contract with the medieval role-playing game Kingdom Come: Deliverance from Warhorse Studios, where he was art director. He also created concepts and characters for games such as Mafia 2 or Top Spin 4. This is only his brother’s third project. Scribe is inspired by classics such as Prince of Persia, Another World, Flashback, Monkey Island or the Elder Scrolls series.
