Programmer Yaroslav Belza presented an interesting 2D story-driven and atmospheric adventure game We are in the past: Act onewhich combines psychological thriller with satirical comedy. He has been working on it since 2018 and would like to finish it. However, due to a long battle with inflammation in his hands, he is unable to play and his current job. That’s why he turned to the players.
“It’s a little bit conceptual and experimental, but not too much. It’s essentially a 2D point-and-click adventure game, but the game mixes other genres into the mix. The gameplay is not based on a large number of items and objects, to the point that in the first chapter you even use only one item, and at all times you know exactly what you will need it for.” states the author.
“There will be challenges in various forms, but you will also have an inventory of items, so the essence of the true adventure will remain. My goal was to create atmospheric art experience and constantly surprise the player with something during the game. The first act consists of three chapters, and its total playing time will be approximately three hours. stocks.
She’s the main character Riley Willis (played by Tereza Cisarzhová), a young woman who uncovers her dark past and is on a journey of self-discovery. repeatedly finds himself in unexpected, absurd situations.
Belza started a crowdfunding campaign on Hithita. The goal is to raise 760,000 crowns so that he can make final edits to the texts, film the voice acting, complete the illustrations, create rendered cut scenes, program everything, create music and undergo beta testing. When the game releases, it will be available for PC and Mac and will be localized into Czech and English.
