The players’ fears were confirmed. The indirect answers from the developers resulted in quite expected information. Console versions Dragon’s Dogma 2 they will not have a performance or graphics mode. On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, Capcom will not allow players to choose whether they prefer graphics quality above 60 frames per second. Instead, the RPG sequel will unlock frame rates.
But don’t get excited just yet. Creators on consoles aim for 30 frames or more. So console players can forget about 60 frames. They’ll probably be happy if the game runs consistently at 30 frames per second. The system requirements for the PC version already specify a lower frame rate. For them, Capcom has always presented a kit capable of reaching 1080p at 30 FPS or 2160i at 30 FPS.
For gaming at 2160i/30fps, Capcom recommended an Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X processor with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 graphics card without ray tracing. The list includes at least an Intel Core i5 10600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT with 8 GB of video memory.
If you want to enjoy the game with the highest detail, you must have an Intel Core i9 12900KS or AMD Ryzen 9 5950X and a GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon 7900XT. Interestingly, Capcom is also only promising 30 FPS in this build. 60 FPS is not mentioned anywhere.
At launch, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will support DLSS 3, namely Super Resolution and Frame Generation. The game will be released on March 22 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
