Activision bought California-based Toys for Bob in 2005. Since then, the team has created the Skylanders series, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, Crash Team Rumble, and collaborated on Call of Duty, including Warzone, Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3.

Now at Toys for Bob they are working on a new name. It is in early development and is not Crash or Spyro. But we still have to wait for details, the announcement is still far away.

“Over the years, we have awakened the love, joy and laughter of the inner child in all players. At Skylanders, we pioneered a new brand and hardware technology. With Spyro Reignited Trilogy, we’ve raised the bar for best-in-class remasters. We’ve taken Crash Bandicoot to new, innovative and critically acclaimed heights. With the same enthusiasm and passion, we believe it’s time to take the studio and our future games to the next level. This opportunity allows us to return to our roots as a small and flexible studio.” Paul Yang and Avery Lodato, CEOs of Toys for Bob, said in a statement.

“Our friends at Activision and Microsoft have been very supportive of our new direction, and we are confident that we will continue to work closely together as we move forward. So keep your fingers crossed and wait for more news. Thank you to our gaming community for continuing to support us on our journey. We can’t wait to share with you about our new adventure as an independent studio.” they added.

With this step in mind he will stop Emergency Team Battle receive new content. It was originally planned that the crazy game would be in development for several years. Less than a year after release, support ends. The last update will be released on Monday, March 4th. Servers will continue to operate, microtransactions will be disabled, and players will have access to a Battle Pass containing 500 levels, 104 items, and content from Seasons 1 and 3.

What will happen next to Crash and Spyro is currently unknown. It is possible that game development will be taken over by another studio within Activision Blizzard, or Xbox Game Studios.
