Sony released the first one this year firmware update for PlayStation 5. In addition to several performance improvements, of particular interest will be a new feature in the Party menu and support for PULSE Explore wireless connectors.
The update is labeled 24.01-08.60.00, weighs approximately 1.2 GB and is described by Sony as follows:
New features in the Party menu: In the Party tab, you can now see a list of parties you have previously joined. You can easily restore it by selecting it from the Recent list.
Updating the PULSE Explore Wireless Probe software: You now have an audio equalizer feature. You can also use the listen-back feature to make it easier for you to hear your voice in voice chats.
“If you now have PULSE Explore wireless connectors nearby, a pop-up notification will appear so you can quickly connect them. With this notification, you can easily switch between your PC and PS5 connections.” explains Sony.
In addition, the performance and stability of the PS5 console system software have been improved, as well as improved messaging and controls on some screens.
