The popular community forum Prekladyher.eu, which brings together translators and fans of unofficial Czech game locations, is ceasing its activities. On March 31, the portal will switch to read-only mode. This means that you can continue to upload translations, but you will no longer be able to participate in discussions or register again. Towards the final termination will occur on December 31. It is worth noting that the administrator and PR manager Ondřej Partl left the management of the project back in October last year.
The authors of the project released the following statement: “On behalf of the entire team that has looked after this portal since its inception, we would like to thank you for your patronage. It was a long 9 years of our life. Sometimes everything ends so that something new can begin. On behalf of myself as an operator, I would like to thank all the people who contributed to the work of the entire portal, all the translators who contributed, and all of you who decided to support us in any way. “
However, already now a new group is starting to form on Facebook called Game Translations, which may eventually replace the popular forum. Behind the new project is a group of active community translators who, according to them, want to continue creating Czech localizations.
