From the game’s main menu, you can easily download a selection of classic modifications, as well as new community creations from talented modders and even professional developers for PC and consoles. This is confirmed, for example, by addons signed by some current MachineGames employees. Now there is an addition that can also be classified in the last mentioned category. But that’s not all that makes it special.
If you have Quake, you can download an add-on called Episode Enyo from the Add-ons menu in the game’s main menu. At first glance, it impresses with a diametrically different visual style, as well as a different appearance of weapons and enemies. The reason is simple. Episode Enyo, under which the Ironwood Software team is signed, acts as official prequel to the upcoming side-scrolling action game Slave Zero X from developer Poppy Works and publisher Ziggurat Interactive. For a change, Slave Zero X is a prequel to the sci-fi shooter. Slave Zero since 1999.
