Unlike AMD or Nvidia, Intel didn’t make any really big announcements at CES, and we basically only saw the presentation of other 14th generation models – the Raptor Lacquer update. In particular, processors without the “K” marking, which cannot be overclocked.

However, Intel also briefly mentioned its future architectures, which are much more interesting, as reported by, for example, Wccftech magazine. In December, Meteor Lake (Intel’s first tile architecture, a chiplet variant) was aimed only at laptops, but this year the company is preparing two new architectures – for desktops and laptops.

She’s the first Arrow Lake, which should use the Intel 20A manufacturing process, Lion Cove P-cores, Skymont E-cores and an integrated graphics chip built on the Alchemist architecture. It is designed for both desktop computers and laptops. Like Meteor Lake, it will use the LGA 1851 socket, which is new to desktops. At its presentation, Intel confirmed that Arrow Lake will appear this fall.

The second architecture is Moon Lake, intended only for laptops. It should offer the Battlemage iGPU and is expected to use TSMC’s 3nm process instead of Intel’s 20A. At the same time, it should be optimized specifically for laptops, i.e. above all for the highest possible efficiency. Intel recently claims that the NPU (AI computing chip) should be in Lunar Lack before 3 times fasterand at the same time this architecture should bring significant increase in MIC. The release has been confirmed for this year, but apparently we will only see it at the very end.
