Noted tech experts Digital Foundry have released an hour-long video that they call their most in-depth technical analysis to date. The protagonists are two leading racing games in the form of Gran Turismo 7 and the new Forzy Motorsport. Both games are among the largest and most graphically advanced racing games of recent times, enjoying the support of major companies (Sony, Microsoft) and in many ways demonstrating the capabilities of the current generation of consoles.
Digital Foundry’s editors took a detailed look at the individual technology as well as the graphical aspects of both games. At the end of the video itself, Gran Turismo 7 was named the winner. But both games according to Digital Foundry they have their strengths and weaknesses, so in this direction it rather depends on the preferences of individual players. For example, Forza Motorsport features changing weather and a full day/night cycle.
On the other hand, Gran Turismo 7 offers slightly more detailed car models, especially the interiors. It is also worth noting a different approach to processing the environment and night racing or working with light and rain effects.
